Thank you for the response! Heck, it seems like something went wrong with my device after all. No, there is no performance impact for me, but the fact that after one drop something like this happened is not making me more happy.
Don't drop your Deck, guys! Always check if your traveling case is fully closed before picking it up!
Pick up the case by the opening end (as opposed to the hinged end), holding by both the top and bottom, and ALWAYS pick it up that way. If you do that, then every time you pick it up, you're holding the case closed, whether or not it's zippered.
Amazingly there seems to be no damage and no sign of malfunction but it did get me to wondering if the UEFI firmware has some sort of hardware diagnostic built in or if I should boot a diagnostic "live cd" usb stick and run some checks.
Any recommendations for steam deck hardware diagnostics?
