Add Support for Xbox Wireless Controller Adapter
The latest Steam Client update as of March 15 added "native" support for Xbox Wireless Controller Adapter, but the Linux driver is still missing, so we can't use it on Steam Deck without a workaround, which has to be reapplied every update.

Please add the Linux driver(I use xone, I don't know if you would get it from Microsoft or use xone) to the SteamOS image :candywhat:

In case you don't want to use Bluetooth for, uhm, reasons. A possible reason would be that not all XBox gamepads support BT. Sure, when you buy new, paying attention to that detail is easy but what if you already had one and then the Deck came?

Xbox One controllers have severe input lag on my Deck. Like, a full second. I plug in my USB Xbox controller adapter that runs over 2.4Ghz and it's fast as can be. It doesn't slow down with 8 controllers either, which the Deck's Bluetooth can't handle.
ughhhh they're never gonna add support for this are they?
There's a convenience script[gist.github.com] that installs/updates xone driver on Steam Deck which adds support for Xbox Wireless Adapter. AFAIK, you have to re-run it after Steam Deck updates.

I have it hosted on my URL shortener so it's easier to get to it from the Deck, feel free to use it. No warranty on the hosting. https://paste.cropp.lol/steamdeck-xone
