Anti glare or not? Can you see your reflection on the screen?
Im debating on getting the 64gb model and upgrading the storage. I dont plan on gaming with the deck outside, only in bed or in a lit room at the office. Im worried I will see my reflection on the screen when just playing in an office for example, anyone have any experience? I dont care for the premium case or the storage since I can just upgrade it anyway so im just wondering if its worth the extra 200+ for the anti glare screen?

Ive heard that the regular screen is brighter but the anti glare screen has maybe a very small difference in coloring, but you wont me able to notice unless they are side by side no?

You can just get a matte screen protector if that's all you care about and save $190

I have the anti-glare model. It does have some glare, but its not a problem in a lit room. Seeing yourself isn't a issue at all when playing. the only glare than can be seen is direct sunlight or a bright lamp thats direct.

Is it worht the extra 200. only for thhe screen maybe not. But you also have extra & faster memory.

side by side there is indeed a change in brightness. But IMO, you won't notice this when you have only a anti-glare version. You will be used to it.

If you plan to use your Steam Deck in locations where you cannot control the lighting (like outdoors), the anti-glare screen is worth it. If you never planning on sitting outside and using your Deck, it's not worth it.

FWIW, I have the 256GB model. I tried to play it outside once and just gave up. It's fine for me as I didn't buy it for that.

How is the deck when playing inside of a well lit room? Can you see your reflection or any reflection? I suppose the brightness has a big factor in this.

Indoors, I've had no problems with glare on the non-antiglare screen.
