Charging from PC USB port (5V)

Hi all,

Can you charge (slowly!) a steam deck from a PC's USB port using a standard USB A to USB C cable?

Thought I'd ask first just so I don't blow anything up. And before anyone says, yes it'll be really slow.

It's USB nothing is going to blow up.
The ports on PC are 5v @ 500 or 900mA = which is less power than the Deck draws just sitting at the home screen, so unless you power it completely down you wont be doing much charging...

It will take at least 16 hours for a complete charge, but yes, it's possible.

Thanks for all your help.

Laptop has usb charge function so I set that, closed the lid, plugged in the deck and came back to 100% in the morning.

Job done.
