Battery Drain
Is anyone experiencing battery drain with the latest updates? I've switched from beta back to stable and still getting horrendous battery drain.

My battery health is being reported on the console as being 100% but the battery is draining from full to empty in approx 50mins without me even playing a game. This is just leaving it idle on the home screen...

Am i looking at a factory reset? or is there another fix?

I'd factory reset for sure... Definitely not normal. Or you can wait long E ough for the next update to fix it on its own.

When you say you leave it idle on the Home Screen, I’m assuming you turned off automatic sleep mode that puts the Steam Deck to sleep after it being idle for a while.

That still wouldn't explain it draining empty in 50 minutes.

Update guys, after factory reset the battery health was showing as 10%, so Valve have initiated RMA. So far the support from Valve has been A*.

It would if the brightness was turned up to max.

Sounds like a hardware or battery issue. Glad you got an RMA. One thing I would be worried about is then sending you a refurbished model.

I was thinking this..... however if it's been refurbished well and it lasts me at least until the release of a newer model, then that's all that matters. Wouldn't care if they fixed the one I sent back to them, as long as I get a working Deck back.
