charging issues with steam deck

Hey guys
im a bit at a loss here and wonder if anyone can help

i decided to purchase x2 usb power bricks each with an output of 65w and also x2 usb2 to usb c cables at a capable 100w rating

the idea was for me to be able to easily charge the steam deck and have other options than the supplied brick

each time i plug them into the deck i get a slow charger error.........im a bit lost as to what the problem maybe

Fast charging isn't exactly mandatory. I wouldn't bother buying random fast chargers because power delivery can either brick your device or burn your house down.

Steam Deck uses USB Power delivery (USB-PD) for charging. You need a Power Delivery compatible charger, which means USB-C to USB-C and not USB-A to USB-C. With your current setup you are limited to charging the deck at 2.5 w, which will take 16 hours to charge.

Also from the reviews that charger seems to be total crap lol, even the review score is 3.9. Genuine and safe to use chargers cost more than 5€.

I would say the OP is lucky. At 5 euros, I rate the charger at burn your house down category.
