Heyllo guys
Can someone tell me when i connect it to my monitor with steam dock, why its cap at 60hz and i cant find get it to 120, its shows options for 60 120 240 but they dont work and i use display port for it.
Is it cap at 60 hz because of software?

My advice: 60 Hz is fine as the Deck is not capable enough for higher frame rates in current 3d games.

What resolution are you trying to set at 120 Hz?

1080p it can do 120 fps in older games 60 hz is not good on a big monitor

Your "advice" is for someone to change thier perception? Once you have seen 120+ on a big monitor 60 and below is jarring and looks terrible on it.
I don't know what you consider "modern 3d games" but that could literally include super Mario 64

On my pc i play 240 hz but 60 is good enough on the steam deck screen but when you go to pc size og even tv size 60 hz is so bad

Playing 1920x1080@60Hz on a 75 inch tv and having no issues. Do you also complain on refresh rates when watching action movies which are of a much lower refresh rate?

Anything 3d with decent graphics, e.g. CS:GO or Subnautica.

Actually yes. I don't watch the new Lego movies because they are like 30 fps animation. Some people like higher refresh rate. Why does that bother you?

It doesn‘t bother me. I only recommended it because
- the usual today’s games are so graphics intensive that the Deck is only able to generate about 30 to 60 fps with good graphics setting.
- I assume most people only jump onto the 120/240 Hz refresh rate train because of advertising.

Of course you can set the screen refresh rate higher, but this doesn‘t help fps but visual perception. Furthermore it increases battery drain.

there is a huge diffrent between 120 and 240 xd

I guess I wouldn‘t even notice it if it‘s only refresh rate not fps.
