Making the right Trackpad a mouse that does both left & right click
I’m not sure if I’m being really dumb with this, but I have been Googling and trying to map the right trackpad into a mouse that does a Left-Click when I click the left side of the trackpad, and does a Right-Click when I click the right side of the trackpad when playing games. I have tried adding commands like double click ect but I’d ideally like it to go by the region of the trackpad I click… like a mouse! Any help would be appreciated!

on click create an action layer that does a d-pad. Left = left click, right = right click. Adjust overlap to as wide as possible, bind up and down to nothing

Thanks! I kind of did it, but I think I got the action set stuck because it didn’t change back to letting me move the “mouse” around freely after, I’ve never used Action Sets before!

Oh thank you! Method 2 works perfectly! Once additional question, I’ve been setting this up for a specific game - but I could use it for all games if I were able to move the mouse around whilst “left-click” (currently D-pad left) was being held, currently when held down the mouse won’t move - is this an additional action I can add so I can select, drag, drop?

It can be done, but it will be a bit more complicated. Basically, if you want the trackpad to move the mouse around while clicked, it will have to be set to As Mouse. And you'll need additional layers. This is how you can set it up.

Default Set
Mouse Click - Apply layer 1

Layer 1
Directional pad left click - Apply Layer 2 (Regular press with turbo enabled)
Directional pad right click - Apply Layer 3 (Regular press with turbo enabled)

Layer 2
Always on command "left click"
Mouse Click - Remove Layer 2 (Release Press)
Mouse Click - Remove Layer 1 (Release Press)

Layer 3
Always on command "right click"
Mouse Click - Remove Layer 3 (Release Press)
Mouse Click - Remove Layer 1 (Release Press)
