Can’t get Proton ge to work

So I downloaded ge from the protonup-QT pop up screen but I can’t find it anywhere and it’s not on option of protons to add to games …. Anyone kno what I did wrong

right click the game in library > properties. somewhere there you have a dropdown menu. either let steam choose, or choose yourself which version

When I do that proton ge isn’t there

Just for checking, do you have another game you can attempt to force GE Proton?

If it's not showing in the list for any game, I would recommend a factory reset.

I’ve factory reset thre times now trying to get this thing to work

But no no other games bcuz it’s not downloaded I click to download it says one thing downloading at top right of QT screen then it doesn’t pop up in the box after download complete and idk y

Factory resetting again

Restarting after installing Proton GE worked for me. Before restarting it was not showing up in my lists either which led me to this link. Definitely try restarting before resetting.
