steam deck windows
i have had the steam deck and i cant help but notice that the steam os is a pile of ♥♥♥♥ and well windows support is no better the main reason i wanted a deck is to play cod on the go but that's gone out the window with the deck it just feels limited i mean if i was to go fully windows again its the navigation that makes life hard im not really sure what to do and i am open to suggestions

sell the steam deck

windows on any handheld is pretty much the same experience
(outside of hw/driver variables)

I agree the Steam Deck is obviously not for you. I offer you $200.00 USD for your used Deck.

sell it or give it to someone who can appreciate it & won't give up on it because it doesn't function as they think it should. You should fully research the tech you buy to make sure that it is going to both meet your wants/needs & that you can understand the system you're getting. Proclaiming something 5x5 because you have no grasp of or desire to learn about & ask questions when an issue occurs doesn't mean it does. It means you just should have learned about the product better first before you spent money on it.

At one point did i say I had given up on it also what point did I say I didn't appreciate it and at what point did I say I don't have any understanding of the device

You can always put Windows on an SD card and boot from that.

Yeah steam OS isn't very good but then again neither is windows wait for the new Nintendo switch for hand held gaming.

Yeah, I would replcae steam os entirely with windows.

1: Have you test to run your game (SteamDeck -> Desktop mode)?
If it's doesn't work, i think your game has an anti-cheat not compatible 😅

-> if you want to install Windows, i recommend to create an image disk of your system SteamOS with Ubuntu or other system bootable

I can't say from experience but this was all the rage for a bit, could be people memeing and then going back to normal installs later, idk

but there was a lot of content claiming it was legit usable
