UK Steam Deck not in stock, buy in Ireland instead?

So I live in Northern Ireland and as such am finding it very difficult to get the 64Gb model due to the lack of stock over the last few months. I was wondering could anyone tell me, if I travelled down south into the republic and ordered it there, could I have a better chance of getting one? And would I have any problems using the deck in the UK if it was purchased in the EU?

Currently only 512GB in stock in Southern Ireland.
I know it cost a bit more but worth it. I no longer use my PC, no longer thinking about upgrading PC, which would cost more.
