Steam Deck

console is a bit clicky/creaky?
Probably normal due to the nature of it being cheap plastic. However I’d like to make sure it’s normal. Does anyone else experience like a clicking / creaking kind of sound when handling their steam deck while playing? like when putting it down, putting pressure down to press the joystick in games etc? Or am I just overthinking simple science?

I even squeezed my hands, gripping tightly over and over just to make sure. And the flex test provided the loudest sounds.

hmm strange I guess it varies build to build. for me it happens mainly around the top and bottom of the screen especially near the power button. too much hassle to RMA though for something that simple if it can’t damage the console. Just damages my experience.

Most of the time it just needs a little massage after the long trip!
Mine was a bit creaky at first but that went away

try not to put pressure on the screen/bezels but rather do what ^ mentioned and squeeze the chassis together and flex test (gently) and it should all click into place.

I squeeze the :masonfist: #%^ :masonfist: out of my steam deck all the time though so ymmv... but that went away and I have had it for over a year.
