Open desktop mode.
From the STEAM menu, select Power, then Switch to Desktop

Enter the flatpak command with steam + x to pop open the keyboard.
I am not sure what you mean. Most Linux users do this stuff everyday. They paste errors onto the forum for help. To be honest, Valve support pretty much asks more than me. They ask for video.....
