Remote Play Touch Controls Always Showing

Streaming any game from my desktop to the Steam Deck results in the touch screen controller showing up on the deck screen and never going away. I’ve checked and unchecked touch controls on the host pc and Steam Deck. They always show up. Please send help. My brain hurts.

when you are streaming on the deck use the touch screen to touch the 3 dots on the screen ... and you get options. you can turn the touch screen off through that. and turn the shake to hide for the buttons on also

I’ve tried that. Used remote play on my phone a bunch before the Deck. Touching the 3 dots does nothing. Very strange.

sorry i do not know how or if you can force the touch screen to be used so you can actually manage that.

Tried with it toggled on and off. Nothing works. Can’t get rid of the on screen controls. I’m at a loss.

Update for anyone else with this problem. The solution for me was a factory reset. Not the best option unfortunately, but remote play touch controls no longer stay on the screen while streaming.
