Not the point, why should UK have limited stock. When other countries have no issues with stock?

Nowhere has unlimited stock. These things don't just pop up out of nowhere. They need to built, packaged and shipped and you know what, that takes TIME. We only have so much time to do these things. The big problem here is people's lack of patience and their huge sense of entitlement.

It's a sale of a hugely popular item. Of course it's going to sell out. Folks need to spend less time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and more time watching the store page if they want one thaaat bad.

You dont have a clue. In UK there was no strock except for most expensive one since April.

I bet it is to do with Brexit and tarrifs or some trade issue that greedy valve doesnt want to pay and are probably fighting it with solicitors. Only thing I can think of. Stock is being sat in European warehouses unsold !! Hence the sale.

I demand a steam deck Gabe!
Stop eating Tesco value ice cream get off your fat butt and start sorting this matter out.
You don't want it with me Gabe..

I aint the one.

I would like to know is do they have a system that stop someone from ordering more than one. Because what is stopping someone from buying them all then selling them on for more money. Can't always be watching steam to see if and when they become available.

Yes. You cannot order a next one until the previous has been delivered.

If you’re quick, 64GB is currently in stock in the UK.

EDIT: They seem to be dropping in and out of stock every few minutes as of 23:00 BST. Keep your eye on the store page, and good luck if you’re trying to get one.

Typical, after getting one into my basket and being to slow due to payment verification twice on Friday and then not seeing any stock Friday night/Saturday I figured I was wasting my time till work hours on Monday :tw:

I do not know, I don't check much and could be wrong but I think the large profits that people were making kind of stopped when valve caught up with the pre-order backlog. It seems like a lot of effort and hassle and risk for next to no reward.

I mean (depending on country) people have been able to buy one and have reasonably quick delivery and an actual warranty for 10 months or so ? Why would anyone want to pay more for something from a scalper when you don't have to :). This stock issue seems to be relatively recent and limited... I assume that valve is having a serious issue before they would start actually refusing to sell them to people that want one.

You can make the buyer pay for postage on top.

Looks like ebay and cex have plenty of stock but you’re paying new prices for second hand items, not always worth the risk, and some of them are charging an extra £100 plus postage on top.

MrCela01 Jul 3, 2023 @ 9:20am
I'm literally having to check every thirty minutes Ive seen it available once and I wasn't quick enough to get it. So frustrating.
Kaligath Jul 4, 2023 @ 1:12am
They really should just put a pre-order system in place where anyone who pre-orders it is put in a priority queue that when its in stock will be sent out instead of this because its clearly not working.
Brettthefirst Jul 4, 2023 @ 3:03am
If they put a Pré-order system in place, I would happily put the money down today
rouchie Jul 4, 2023 @ 3:20am
Yep, the ability to pre-order would be most welcome, do we have any idea when it is likely to be back in stock?
