Do you use the old or new fan curve and why?
I’m kind of stuck between the two as I hate fan sound especially when playing indie games but I hate the heat and the temps reaching almost 90 in dead by daylight.

Custom fan curve

I use whichever nets me better cooling, I think that’s the old curve but I don’t remember for sure. I just like running as cool as possible with minimal effort.

I prefer my fans actually running. The sound doesn't bother me.

More fans means better cooling and longer lasting hardware, hence why I'm running with max fans. But I also got closed headphones, so I don't really mind about the fan noise that much.

The fan isn’t very loud tho. I use my fan at full throttle and it just sounds like a bit of white noise.

Probably not to us but when you’re in a room with family let’s say and they appreciate some silence, playing with the fan at full throttle can be annoying in a way

What's so bad about it reaching 90°C? It's not like your hands were getting hot, it's the core temperature.

i have anxiety about everything in life so I overthink a lot. so rn I’m overthinking if it’s running at around 90c for long periods every day, it’s gonna break soon.

Useful rule: the manufacturer knows more about the device, than you do. If AMD & Balve agree to not throttle this thing until above 90°C, it's because they think running it @ this temperate is fine. It's not only those parties, Nvidia, Intel, they all think that this temperature is fine.
I've only recently found out about the switch and mine was switched on and the deck was getting quite hot so i turned it off and the deck run a lot cooler now and the fan sounds are not that bad.
