Is there a way to adjust your fan speed

You can switch between 2 fan curves, for starters. The default one is aimed at quietness, the alternate one spins it up more aggressively.

where abouts in settings can i find that? i'm not bothered about noise

The fan only stars up when it gets above 70c i want the fan to start up when it gets to about 55c.

The only option i can find is the one that says enable update fan control and i have this switched on do i need to switch it off.

Install decky loader. Then install the plug-in called fantastic and you can custom fan curve to any temp you want

Why don't they call it reduced fan speed switch.

I really can't remember turning this on

If I remember, it was on by default. I may be mistaken about that, but I remember turning it off for myself to get normal fan functions... but I got my Deck in Jan, so it's been a while.

I've been using a desk fan to keep it cool thinking there was something wrong with it for ages 😂
