"Steam Deck could not connect to the steam network" while connected to Navy Gowifi. Help

As stated in the title while on the Navy Gowifi the steam deck will not connect to the steam network.

It looks like that service requires you to login via a web browser after connecting. Have you tried to do this from the Desktop Mode?

Can you explain the issue in more detail?

Do you get connected initially and then cannot login via browser?

Do you not get the initial connection so you don't get the chance to login via browser?

I logged in through the browser the first time I connected and everything was working fine but I left the wifi and when i got back it reconnected but it said it cannot reach the steam servers. I did not have to log back in because auto login was selected so i'm going to disable the auto login for the steam deck from my computer and see if logging in again works.
