Can someone help with Need for SPeed Underground 2 on the deck?

I installed nfsu2 on the deck from my legit PC copy. Installed the no cd crack and got it to run. However I'm having a hard time to get my controls right?

Once I'm ingame none of the buttons on the deck get me back to the homescreen. I'm not very knowledgeable on all this stuff, but with my NFS most wanted 2005 all the controls worked perfectly...

Have you tried using different input layouts? If none of the default ones "work", then I'm afraid you'd need to create your own from scratch or find a ready-made one somewhere on the internet.

Or does it just "refuse" to accept any layout you apply to it?

Seeing as it not a Steam game, I'm afraid there aren't any different input layouts?

The layouts from Templates section are always available, aren't they.
