Questions for Canadian Steam Deck Owners
So I have email these questions to Valve, but while I'm waiting, I'd figured I'd ask them here as well.

1- I'm in Canada Quebec, will I be charged extra fees from customs or am I paying them during checkout in the "Import Fees" section?
2- What shipping company will Valve be using to get the deck to my home
3- Will there be tracking and full insurances?
4- Will the shipping box be discrete so that no one from the shipping service knows what it is (and try to steal it)?
5- Is the 1 to 2 weeks delivery time on the Deck's page valid for Canada or will it take longer?
6- The warranty limitation does not talk about dead pixels on the screen, should I take it that if there are dead pixels on arrival, that Valve will replace the unit?

Cheers

4- Shipping box isn't super flashy, but if you look close you can see some Valve flair
5- I got mine within 2 weeks
6- People have RMA'd the device for stuck pixels from what I have read on forums.

1 - I dont remember exactly but the fee was small if there was one. and it might be the "import fee" (it has been at least 6 months since i got to order mine)
2 - Still FedEX
3 - You do get the tracking number from FedEX when your order is shipped.
4 - You get the same box everyone else has been getting. its plain aside from the valve flair and does have a customs page in a bag that does mention whats in the package.
5 - I got mine while there was still the queue so i dunno but the dock did arrive in a decent amount of time after i ordered mine.

You only pay taxes on the purchase. There should be no import fees.

Hi, so did you need to pay customs or brokerage or maybe other fees, excluding purchase taxes of 15% at checkout

Nope, FedEx just left it at my front door, idiot deliver guy couldn't even bother to ring the doorbell, good thing I was home. Besides that bad experience, no complaints, no extra fees. Upgrade my Deck with a 1TB internal SSD and 4TB External SSD.
