That said, a quick Google suggests Dinosaur Safari is a Windows game so wouldn't ordinarily run in DOSBox anyway.
Given the age of the game I'd suggest downloading Bottles from the Discover store.
Bottles is another way of managing WINE/Proton that I've found is easier to use with older games.
My advice would be to extract the contents of the ISO into a folder and run the games installer from that folder using Bottles.
Depending on the game you may need to apply a NOCD patch after installation is complete before the game will actually work.
Once you've got it working in Bottles you can add the Bottles flatpak as a non Steam game and use the Bottles command line options to launch the game from Steam.
when i run the setup through Bottles it says not enough string space.. i also try to run the .exe of the dino safari but it wants to run in 256 colors. is there a workaround?
It might be worth playing with the settings for the Bottle you created.
Make sure you create a 32bit Bottle, not 64bit (default), set to Win9X compatibility, tell it to use a Virtual Desktop, set the desktop resolution to something era appropriate (640x480 or 800x600), and you should be able to set 256 colours also.
If all that fails then you may just have a game incompatible with Linux at this time.
