Firefox Issues after recent update?

I've had zero problems with Firefox while owning the Deck for several weeks now but after a desktop update yesterday I'm having really slow page loads, like several minutes and sometimes saying server not found. The Spotify app opens fine and plays songs no problem. Steam app in desktop mode is fine, fast d/l speeds. It's just Firefox that get hosed. I thought there was some Firefox update in the list.
Anyone else see this or have suggestions?

How long have you had your deck? Also what version of SteamOS were you running and which update did you update to?

If you were on an older version of SteamOS3 it previously had a Firefox install baked into the image, e.g. on the immutable filesystem. They changed this and removed that version from the OS so that users could install the Firefox version from the discover store and thus get regular, more frequent, updates for Firefox.

If you just updated to SteamOS 3.4.4 then try to remove Firefox and then reinstall it from the discover store.

I fixed it by going to the network settings, IPV4, Automatic (Only addresses), adding 8.8.8.8 as a DNS server. Apply and reboot. Then it worked normal. I think I had to do this when I initially set up the Deck but I guess it got reset in an update.
