Steam Deck: MicroSD speed support
Is there enynews for supporting higher speed for micro sd card that support it?
It's a litte bit of a waste to not use it at all

I went on google and saw this

''The Steam Deck utilizes a UHS-I interface, which puts a limitation on read speeds. Even if a microSD card can reach read speeds of 150MB/s, the Steam Deck can only handle 100MB/s.''

So why hasn't anything been done about it?.
Trim has been turned on, but not really an improvement on the speed that the SD card can handle

Anyone here have some info on it?

UHS-II readers seem to cost double that of UHS-I so I assume Valve wanted to save a few bucks. While it very well could be changed on a potential SD2 I wouldn't hold my breath for a SD(1) revision supporting it. Afaik all revisions were minor in comparison.

That information is also false.

Also, UHS-II requires additional pins and as PsyBlade noted the readers cost substantially more, as do the cards.
