Steam: Non-Steam game configuration - where is Prefix Location stored?
I can see some of the non-Steam game config is in shortcuts.vdf. Heroic Launcher, for example, rewrites that file to add non-Steam games.

But, the Prefix Location is not stored there. Does anyone know which file that is in?
Thanks, T

First add non steam game to steam, then play it. After that, close the game, then open protontricks gui from terminal(command: protontricks --gui, install it first if it was not available). Then, you'll see the appid, keep that in mind. After that open /home/[your username]/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/[the non steam game app id]/your prefix is here. Hope that help.

Edit: Oh, if you're using steam deck then open up desktop mode first, then open terminal and do the step above.

terminal is similar to cmd and powershell in windows.
it's a linux app that can be found in desktop mode, and provides a way to control the device with typed commands.
it's not really something casual users should use though.
while most dangerous commands are shielded by default, sending the wrong command in a terminal window can do a lot of damage to the OS or data on your device.

The terminal is the black box that pops up to let you type in commands and things (dolphin calls it Konsole)
