Steam Deck

1080p on Dark Souls Remastered
Trying to use the Deck in dock mode for the first time and Dark Souls doesn't appear to allow the resolution in-game to go above 720p. My TV is showing the Deck menu in 4k, and i'm not necessarily looking for Dark Souls to run at that, but is there something I'm missing that allows me to change the resolution in-game?

IDK. I thought people were saying that it tries to go to 4k when they don't want it to. Now you and the people in this thread are saying the opposite.

Somebody on here suggests changing your monitor to 4k30 as 4k60 is not supported (don't know if that's true).

The op of the thread I linked had the same problem as you. Someone suggested that his connectors were not 4k. He said they are and after plugging and unplugging the dock and cables a bunch of times, he eventually got 4k.

Does this help you OP?

Dude is saying to put deck in desktop mode and choose your display resolution there and then run your game through the steam client and not in gaming mode.

??? has some kind of gender=v-streamer-anime-animal avatar and (what's actually a concern) he thinks the nintendo switch with it's 5 year old cellphone processor can outperform the deck (probably on game made for switch running on deck thru emu with no tweaks and deck doesn't destroy it bc it's throttled down), so IDK if I would listen as he seems pretty confused about things.

In your library, under game properties, you can set the resolution in which the game should be displayed. Then you should also be able to select the 1080p resolution in the game menu. Hope it works and helps.
