Thanks for that! Do you know how you would do it for half life 2? The sdk for that doesn't work anymore on steam I've always launched it on my pc by going into the half life 2 bin and launching the editor from there.
I searched Reddit and found a small explanation of how to get the half life 2 hammer editor working. What I did was download the depot for half life 2 instead of cs go. I then found the files like it said in the video and pasted it in the half life 2 folder location.
I overwrite the files with the windows ones from the app depot folder but after that I had to find a way to actually launch the hammer editor so I used an app called Lutris and added the Hammer.exe to the app and chose wine as the launcher option.
After all that I now have a new issue. The hammer editor is completely glitched. Sometimes it will go completely black and just keep flashing and other times none of the tools show up and neither does the grid. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Ah ok I see. I did manage to get everything else working on the editor now the only issue is the 4 main viewports keep flickering. I'll have to search Reddit again I guess. Thanks for the help I appreciate it.
