Button membranes made by 2 different manufacturers just like the fan is

So, I have 2 steam decks in my household. Mine, the buttons are squishy. The D-pad, triggers and bumpers, and even the trackpad looks different.

The other, the buttons mentioned above are nice and firm. Very rigid feeling. I prefer this over the squishy feeling.

Do you think buying replacements from ifixit will be the more rigid feeling ones?

please update your thread when you know more about that. also would be nice to know if what you think about getting parts from ifixit helps.

I got my deck first week of Q2. The other deck is from the end of Q3

There were some changes. It's possible your Q2 Deck maybe one of the first gen which may not feel same as the updated versions. Something to check out:
