Steam Deck / Factory Reset

​I want to reset my Steam Deck to factory settings, but I'm a bit worried that there will be problems with the games stored on the SD card.

Will SD cards and the games saved on them (both Steam software and ROMS for example Emudeck) still be "recognized" after a reset?

I don't know about emulators, but I moved all my installed to deck games to my sd card, then removed it from the deck before i factory reset it. It did recognize & run everything from it & with the exception of a couple allowed me to move them back to internal drive (it gave an error that the files were locked Torchlight Frontiers & Disney Dreamlight Valley). hope this helps you.

I think if you follow the recovery instruction from the Valve support website, this is a "soft" recovery, your game will be preserved (assuming you answer yes if you are asked to keep the datas)

If you go POWER + QAM (3 dots button on right) , there is a "hard" factory reset, home will be completely wiped

this is correct, dont know why sd games even if only steam games r on sd card, but it evens locks locations from transfer to internal even after getting a replacement deck, so not sure if its linux, steam, or sd related, its more worrisome that the time needed to have to factory reset and transfer to sd.....well it seems a common problem

But how to make sure all the save files are on the sd card and not somewhere on the internal SSD ?
