Try to avoid CHARGING while playing demanding games as this will lead to a lot more heat than usual. If it is charged and plugged in you will not see the same effect as if it is actively charging.
As long as you pay attention to heat and temps, you should be ok.
(if the deck is docked with the screen off and you want to play a demanding game while it charges, just keep an eye on temps
I would recommend no lower than a 60 watt unit. Steam deck needs 45watts but 60 gives a significant buffer if you have a lot of stuff plugged into your dock...
