Completely not true. The deck isn't perfect, we know. But I've got a few thousand hours of hard use on mine, and I'm loving it. This site attracts whiny babies and brain dead idjits like flies..
Most of us Deck owners are completely delighted with our purchase, and would buy again in a heartbeat.
The Deck isn't perfect by a long-shot. But it's the best handheld I've ever owned. (apologies to GBA and PSP, I loved you both).
Absolutely bring the Deck 2, Switch 2, or the next-gen handheld. But until then, the Steam Deck is the best existing, and puts me in my happy place more often than not,
Here is the open secret. All consumer electronics are broken piece of junk.
Valve doesn't seem to suppress their problems. Other companies does suppress their problems.
Do they use UPS or USPS for return? There are no UPS drop off where I live.
Also, if you read the first paragraph of the Valve Hardware Warranty it becomes pretty clear that it doesn't apply in the EU because our laws supersede it:
