Faulty Steam Deck R1 button

Anyone had issues with their R1 button?
Mine stopped working within 2 months of purchase. RMA done and initial process excellent. Sent to Valve Returns UK and waiting… not happy

Nope, feels as mushy and low quality as with my OG deck.

Completely not true. The deck isn't perfect, we know. But I've got a few thousand hours of hard use on mine, and I'm loving it. This site attracts whiny babies and brain dead idjits like flies..

Most of us Deck owners are completely delighted with our purchase, and would buy again in a heartbeat.

The Deck isn't perfect by a long-shot. But it's the best handheld I've ever owned. (apologies to GBA and PSP, I loved you both).

Absolutely bring the Deck 2, Switch 2, or the next-gen handheld. But until then, the Steam Deck is the best existing, and puts me in my happy place more often than not,

I ordered the 1tb OLED model. No issues. Happy but remember its an electronic item and can be faulty. Take it with a pinch of fault. Valves return process is excellent

Valve doesn't seem to suppress their problems. Other companies does suppress their problems.

Do they use UPS or USPS for return? There are no UPS drop off where I live.

Ugh, they want like $125 to fix it out of warranty. Sucks so hard. Dont get me wrong, it’s a great system, but I feel I havent put enough hours on it to warrant it already needing buttons repaired.

Can anyone confirm the length of EU warranty? Because Valve says its 1 year but due to EU law it might have to be 2 here? Does that actually work or they just deny it after the first year?

Exact length depends on your country, but minimum 2 years across the entire EU. You can read more here.[europa.eu]
Also, if you read the first paragraph of the Valve Hardware Warranty it becomes pretty clear that it doesn't apply in the EU because our laws supersede it:

Got mine just a week ago and suddenly when i press my R1 button it has a crack and annoying sound i think its broken inside , poor quality buttons
