How to improve steam deck streaming performance
One of the reasons why I bought the steam deck was to use my steam deck as a gaming pc to stream games to my laptop. The reason why I wanted to do this is because I, rightfully, found out that I'm not good at aiming with the steam deck as I'm a lifelong keyboard and mouse gamer.

However to my disappointment I found out that if wanted to stream games (dying light 2, skyrim, splinter cell,...) to my non-gaming laptop (or any other device for that matter) I notice that it runs quite laggy. Any tips and tricks to improve this problem? I have my steam deck sitting right next to me when I'm gaming in the hopes that the close vicinity would boost the connection between the devices.

The tips & tricks are the same as for Steam streaming with any other device. First and foremost, enable the performance graph and see what it tells you. I bet it's the network connection though, are those both connected via WLAN? Basically, you'd want at least one of the devices to connect over Ethernet, if not both.

Speaking of Ethernet, you can dock the Deck and play on it directly, no streaming needed.
