Fix SD card problems

I shouldn’t have to fiddle around with anything in Desktop mode for the Sd card to have its memory size read properly.

I also get the error saying I can’t format my card. I’m not wasting anymore time on this, I’ll buy another card but wanted you to know if that doesn’t work then your product is not ready for the masses if this has been happening for months now.

a few people have been having issues with sd cards. Often they've gotten a bad or fake sd card. Other times they do something themselves that borks the card unintentionally & don't even know it. Whatever the issue you're having here is hard to determine but you can, If you have a pc handy, try seeing if it shows up in Windows. It might be detected but unreadable as Windows & Steam deck have different incompatible operating systems. You can fix that issue hitting start & typing disc management then enter. In the window that appears find the sd card at the bottom, right-click it & delete volume/partition. Then create a new simple volume & in the format options during it's creation pick ex-fat as file system type. It should then be usable in the Deck again. It may require another format once in the Deck, but afterwards will be usable (unless you bought a fake or crappy card without knowing it).

I'm having 3 different cards, no problems at all. Maybe you bought an "absolutely legit 15$ 1tb micro sd", dunno, try it with H2testw, maybe it's faulty in a first place.

make sure you buy legit cards from known manufacturers like Samsung or Sandisk..
and to avoid issues you can clean the card on a windows computer with diskpart.

after doing this, try formatting the card again in your deck.
