Refund issues
I sent my deck back almost 2 weeks ago.
They’ve had it over a week.
I followed all the return instructions (I also had to pay to return it despite them saying it was prepaid)

Help keeps sending me gibberish replies asking for screenshots of the error when I ask when when I can expect my refund.

Is there a UK phone number for this shower?

Getting stonewalled at every opportunity, I send a help request, wait 3 days then get sent nonsense and all the while I’m out of pocket by almost £600.

How do you escalate this beyond a bot

I'm kinda in thr same situation as you, this is my third week since they received it according to the tacking number they provided. The support tickets have a 6 day wait time so all I can do is wait.

I sent in a screenshot with the tracking receipt (because checking the tracking number they provided was too complicated for them apparently). The last reply they sent said they will investigate the situation and update my ticket when they have news (that was 4 days ago)

Help~>Steam support~>Steam hardware~>Steam deck~>Contact steam support.

Give them the details. Then wait until they respond which can take a bunch of days if they are busy.

I got the same impression, it's like they're outsourcing support to people who don't understand english. We shouldn't have to wait this long for support or our money back, when I reserved my deck they sent me a email giving me 3 days to pay for it.

Oh right, i cant help with that or i would make it a priority to get it sorted out, sorry. I'm just a regular user doing regular user stuff :/
sadly ur all trash/blame steam, gotta send my deck back, for some strange reason, gotta send it back with case and psu/power cord, the email wont mention this which as steam said results in delayed returns/replacements, since the emails dont mention this or bother to say remove access/sd cards/try form factory default...sadly steams email is trash, u should contact steam for ticket support for more details as the generic email doesnt explain much

I just got a message saying the refund has been processed.
However it doesn’t show in my account..
We shall see…

I sent it back exactly as instructed.
Factory reset with all accessories and in original packaging.

The instructions weren’t exactly difficult to follow

I don't plan on trying to get a refund for my deck... It's certainly really good at playing a handful of games and a really convenient, versatile package.

Though, as time passes, I'm noticing more and more issues with it. But it's mainly GNU/Linux issues, not really the Steam Deck itself, and most of my issues with the Deck are because I'm asking much more of it than simply just playing games...

But, as a GNU/Linux user for well over 15 years, I knew what I was getting in to...

Maybe my post is totally irrelevant because some people are actually receiving faulty hardware? IDK, I hope that isn't the case. Certainly possible. If that ISN'T the issue, I'm very curious to know why so many people are trying to return their Steam Decks...?

Mine arrived with faulty haptics, they offered a repair but I don't see why I should pay full price for a repaired deck when I paid for a new working item. Not just would I have been accepting a repaired deck I would of been loosing out on warranty again for something that arrived broken.

It just gives the impression it works but you are slowing down things as much the people sending support ticket for any reason

It would seem so as we both got a reply in the same night. Thing is people shouldn't have to go public with private issues to get something done!
