I need a little bit of help I am not a Linux noob but I'm not very versed in Linux can someone write or show me where I can find how to install JavaScript on the steam deck a game I want to play no not Minecraft needs JavaScript to run on Linux I've downloaded the Javascript file but clicking it just tries to extract it please any help would be much appreciated

That would be Java, not JavaScript.
The installer for The Java Runtime Engine should be in a directory with the game or if you use the package manager or download from oracle's website directly. From anywhere else its probably a scam.

so I am trying to run a game that I run on my computer it's a fan-made game Pokemon Wilds they're Discord installation guide takes me to oracle's but all it says to do is to download from there and then use the Jar file to run it

nevermind I got the game running do you know how to make a application go maximize mode this game launches a minimized window and I want to played in gamer mode but it won't go maximize if I start it that way

For anyone that's wondering this I think the steam deck comes with Java pre-installed I could just run the jar file of my game
