Canadian shipping can anyone help?

Hello. I was able to place my order for my deck on Monday. Does anyone know how long the process takes and whi the shipper is? I'm in Vancouver area of BC.

I'm in Ontario. I purchased on the 5th and finally got my SD about 15 minutes ago. Delivered by Fedex 2-day and the shipping was actually quite quick once it was actually picked up. I'm in a fairly rural area as well.

I'm curious as to how the Steam Deck can be shipped by FedEx to Canada within a few days? Doesn't the Steam Deck have a Lithium Battery, and I thought those were prohibited from being shipped by air.

FWIW, I payed for my Deck on Sept. 8, having it shipped to Edmonton, and today (Sept. 19) got my tracking number replacing "shipping soon". FedEx says it will deliver 2 days from now (Sept. 21). From Chupathingy's post above, it seems they ship these out to Canada in batches.

unless something changed with shipping regarding battery devices. mine had no problems going through customs at the airport.

I'm in Ottawa Ontario. I reserved my Steam Deck back in Feb 2022. It became available on Sept 8th.

I ordered it that day (Sept 8th) since we are only given "2 days" to make our purchase.

It's now Sept 19th, and my Status changed from "Shipping Soon", and is now back down to "Processing"! Like WTF!

"Delivery delays are expected due to high order volume. We'll ship your order as soon as we can and send you an email with tracking information once that happens."

If the Steam Deck was not available to ship out when we made our purchase, they should NOT be taking orders yet!

I live in Ottawa. It's not like we don't have a major airport and delivery hubs here.

VERY disappointed.

"Processing" could mean they are shipping it out and about to give you a tracking number. Mine said that earlier today, and I just received a tracking number. I also paid for my Steam Deck on Sept. 8.

On any other site I've ever ordered from... "Processing" normally is the "first" thing you see when making an online purchase. It typically means they are Processing your order to make sure the item is available / in stock still / your funds went through, etc. It's after that is done that the status would normally change from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipping, etc"

That said.... I hope you're right.

Did you paid more taxes to recieve it? Because it came from the U.S. right?

You are charged an import fee, but this import fee is equivalent to the HST/PST/GST you would pay as if you made the purchase in Canada. I'm in Alberta, and only had to pay 5% import fee, which is the same as the GST I would have paid if I got it at a store here.
