Where's EA app fix Valve?!?
Why is there still no fix for EA games? Since EA switched to the new app none of my EA games from the Steam store will launch?! They just all crash when the EA app opens. At first it worked, than switched from Beta to Stable and back again. Now none of the games will launch! Tried reinstalling... factory reset. Nothing works!!! It's been awhile now and time for a decent fix.

The patch will come probably come in Proton - Experimental from Valve

But to note this is not Valve's fault but EA failing to make the game install the proper dependencies, Valve is just here to save you from these noobs at EA

Valve and EA are not the same company. Not Valves fault stop acting so entitled. Have a word with EA for not communicating with Valve.

I know EA is not Valve but the SD is Valve's platform. If anyone could speed things up to fix this it's Valve reaching out to EA.

I also made a discussion on the matter. The problem is that valve needs time to work on a patch but just as well they need to take all of EA’s games that are affected and listed as verified off the verified page and put them as unsupported right now.

It's not that EA is unware of the Steam Deck, they just don't care. Valve cannot solve that problem.

Why are you asking Valve for a fix on the EA app?

You should go and voice your frustration with EA.
They can release a fix for it to run under proton / wine.

Well there is no places at EA, Epic or GoG, where people can speak openly about there problems.

There are many "verified" EA games that stopped working due to the new app and still listed so. It's also in Valve's interest this gets fixed as a lot of EA games are being sold on Steam.

Entitled?! I payed for all these games! So, yeah I should be able to play them! Has nothing to do with being entitled...

When you buy EA stuff, you are part of the problem.

I don't need anyone to tell me what games I should or should not buy or what games to like or not. EA ain't going anywhere...

It's a complicated situation. While you can shout at EA because of their unnecessary launcher/app, ultimately it's on Valves side to fix it or at least communicate with EA and then fix it it with a Proton update.

You don't have to forget:
Proton and therefore Steam Deck is Valves own platform. The "Verified" badge is Valves own thing, no contribution from devs/publishers is involved in this. The devs/publishers *can* consider Valves first checkout, adjust their games and let it check through Valve again, but in the end they don't have to. If the game doesn't officially support Linux/Steam Deck, it's up to Valve to ensure, the verified badge reflect the truth.
