Steam Deck

Steam Deck

Black screen when attempting to remote play from steam deck to pc in some games.
This is in regards to emulation at least, only tested ps2 & super nintendo emulation but both result in a black screen on windows pc. Steam library games seemed to work fine. I hope someone knows of a work-around fix for this.

Non-steam games don't seem to work right now for streaming from the Deck. I don't have a solution but I can confirm you are not alone in this.

Are you using a plugin to force non-steam games to stream?

Nope, as long as you have the game in the library on the steam deck, it shows up in the library on pc and it gives me the option to stream it. The audio goes through to the pc but the video doesn't work.

For some reason it doesn't work with steams built-in remoteplay. However, if you use the steam link application, it should work (at least it does for me).

You can grab it from the official steam remoteplay site: https://store.steampowered.com/remoteplay#anywhere

This has fully worked and I'm really grateful! Many thanks!

Where should I install this, on the deck or on the PC?

I can confirm this is still the solution! Thanks again!
