Damn, so would getting a USB-c to USB-c with an input switcher for usb-b work? My bed and couch both only have the USB-B ports and those would be good places to have my switch work instead of having a long extension cord and plugging the device into the wall everytime.
Well, that sucks. Unfortunately, the box didn't say what the wattage was and it says 20k mAh, which I keep hearing is what you need to charge the device.
In order to support faster charging you need to make sure the charging device (power supply, or battery, etc.) supports USB-C PD3.0 and has sufficient wattage, which should really be 45W or more considering the power supply that Valve ships with the Deck.
Well, it's a tempurpedic bed and a movie theater chair. Won't be updating those for a long time, but it sucks there's no way to utilize those furniture to be able to play the deck on them without having a really long extension cable and the power source on me when I move between rooms. :( You said USB-A, does that include USB-B as well?
I had a similar problem. The theater chairs we own (which have USB-A ports) cannot power the Deck. Since the chairs themselves need power, I ran a power strip with a long power line under my theater chairs (hidden). Then I plugged in an Anker charging device with a 6ft USB-C to USB-C cable. Ran that up to where I sit.
Thought we all use USB-B and USB-A was for something else. You could be right on the furniture and it's quite impossible to find out as both places just say it has USB ports, without giving more detail. Sucks as I didn't think this would be an issue as I'd rather just plug it into a usb instead of carrying around the cord or even getting a longer cord online to be able to power the device. Although, I'm curious, are you saying a USB cord could power the device and it's just my current cord isn't rated for it?

USB-B is a "device" end cable type that is primarily used in printers and scanners. You're furniture almost certainly does not have USB-B unless it is an Up stream connection to a Hub of some sort on it.
Update: I just switched from using the Apple extension cable for the block to the standard duckhead that comes with the brick and no longer getting the warning. Very interesting.
