Portable desktop setup with Deck

I just recently got mine, and I have been loving it so far. I am not much of a gamer but I still love the device for what it is.

I am getting a USB hub in the mail tomorrow to which I will attach my mouse, keyboard, monitor, and ethernet cable so I have a decent home setup to dock the deck.

However, I think I might be using something similar for going back to school. I am planning on buying a portable monitor, a mechanical 60% keyboard and a mouse. I think this is better than having a laptop or nexdock, as I can adjust it better to be ergonomic.

Another thing I have planned is to configure a desktop with i3wm so that I can easily switch between desktops.

Do any of you have any creative plans with your deck? Would love to hear them!

hellyeah, seems fine to me tbh, also I am quite used to heavy backpacks.

I am planning to attempt some installs of old Windows 95-XP games such as Midtown Madness, Crimson Skies, Deer Avenger 4. I also tentatively plan on messing with some tools in the vein of MSF but as of now I don't want to disable write-protection. I'm very happy with it being a little gaming rig even if I know it's capable of a LOT more.

I'm also waiting for actual issues to pop up before I start messing with the hardware, but the hall-effect thumbsticks are definitely on my wishlist.

I use my deck as a laptop replacement and it works great. Only down side is that you have to spend a few minutes getting it all set up instead of just opening a laptop lid.

Nextdocks should also work with the deck, if you want something more portable.
