Graphic settings Always change !!!
This is annoying. So I play DOOM eternal on desktop. Ultra nightmare, RTX on. I want to play on SD and everything apart of resolution defaults to main PC graphic settings. Game reaolution changes to some mega low, undreadable res. I need to change it first, then I need to remember to change graphic preset because PC setting looks like blurry mess on SD.
This happens across many games. This needs fixing. Was it not supposed to be that SD does not overwrite PC settings in vice versa ! Annoying !!!!

That’s what happens when you are using 2 different systems on one game. I guess there is no option to make a separate profile for your SD and PC in DooM? That would really be the only way around it.

I have a gaming laptop and a SD and I don’t play the same games on both systems because I would expect the settings to remain in place from the previous session.

It is not blurry on mine either. It looks blurry when PC settings are retained. I need to tweak them every time !

It can't be fixed except by the game's developer. Valve specifically tells developers to NOT include settings specific to a given computer in the cloud saves, likely because it causes this exact problem.

Originally posted by https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/cloud:
If the user changes computers, the files are automatically downloaded to the new computer prior to the game launching. The game can then access the files by reading them through the Cloud API or reading them directly from disk as usual. Avoid machine specific configurations such as video settings.

In this case Bethesda/id failed to heed Valve's suggestion, and now you see the result of their decision. The only other solutions are to either pester Bethesda/id or disable cloud saves. Same with the other games. The developers need to fix this because Valve saw this problem, warned them of this problem, told them how to avoid this problem, and then the developer didn't listen.
