It's a simple trade-off, really.
It won't have any noticeable effect on your battery. While sleeping, it's drawing just enough power to keep the most basic of functions running to preserve where you left off before putting it to sleep.
shut down/power off = turns off the deck completely and doesnt use the battery.
Sometimes I forget if I shut it off or just let the screen go off when I wasn't paying attention. Theres then no way to know without just turning the device on again, it even makes the same sound.
On a PS Vita you have to hold the power button to turn it on or tap it to toggle the screen on/off so its always easy to know what state its in.
Is there something like this on the deck and I just haven't realised?
Thanks in advance
