Create Steam shortcut wasn't working so I Created a desktop shortcut and added that to Steam.
Currently messing with all the controls but it definitely works lol what a trip. Steam Deck is wild.
The final steps might be able to help you out, not sure as I didn't check myself.

You are in stage two so to speak. Stage one was making it run. Stage two is making it work on modern systems.
^ did you all miss this post where the OP said they got it working
Then make a change to the script and submit it. This is a community driven thing you know...
I don't even get how "making it run" and "making it work on modern systems" are separate steps.
I'll be trying Midtown Madness 2 next as I saw it had a script too. Might try some other Madness games (Monster Truck, Motocross).
I also want to try Crimson Skies (PC), Nanosaur (Mac), and Wrath of the Gods (Mac). I checked Crimson Skies and there doesn't seem to be a script. I'm not sure it's good practice to work on those in this thread either.
If you have questions about other classics please post them. I like these 'retro' threads.
Glad it was some help, good luck to you
