Steam deck refuses to connect to hotspot

Title. Have full 5g service right now and triple checked password for phone hotspot. Tried 20 times and it wont connect.

It’s my iphone hotspot i always use. I never modified it before. I heard about the ssid but i cant find any option for it in my phone settings

Usually there is a setting called something like "broadcast". One option is to go into Desktop mode, and try to connect to the hotspot from there.

I’m having similar issue. I connect my steam deck to my phone (iPhone XR). It connects with no issues, I get some notifications like “new items in your inventory” but it never connects to the friend list. It just keeps saying “Logging in to Friends” and that’s it. I left it like that for 10-15 minutes and nothing changed.
I’m clueless.

Same here with Galaxy S21. Just doesn't accept password. Obviously triple checked

Is your password very long or containing special characters?

Im also experiencing this same problem... (IPhone 13 Pro Max user) Password is correct but can't connect.

Same issue, 1 of 3 things happens

1. It refuses to connect to my hotspot “Password Incorrect” “Could not connect, retype password”

2. It gets stuck on the “Connecting to ….”

3. SOMEHOW it connects every 1000 try and the instant I try to use anything requiring WiFi it immediately disconnects

I have a OnePlus 9 Pro, and have no problem connecting to the hotspot. However, if I'm in game mode, it won't connect to the internet. In desktop mode, it connects to the internet without issue

Log out of steam account and relog worked for me
