I usually reduce the mouse sensitivity and turn the pointer friction setting to low so I can flick the mouse around. Works really well for me personally.
To me, conventional mounted displays are good candidates for anti-glare because they aren't really exposed to much abrasion and tend to be fixed in place so glare can be an issue. With portable displays potential for abrasion is much higher, you can adjust your viewing angle simply by moving your hands, and in cases where the glare is so bad that you cant find a good angle, anti-glare usually doesn't help.
I know this doesn't answer your original question but I'm just making the case. My deck arrived a day before the screen protector and I still managed to get a light scratch that fast. ...and I use it mostly docked.
I have one of those. Doesn't say steam deck certified lol, but looks the same. Those DO NOT glide well. They can glide, sure, but they leave a mark and it's not smooth. Maybe I just need one of those Official Steam Deck ones.
