You get 1 email notification on your PC, 1 on your phone and on your Steam you get a pop-up window that is impossible to miss. Additionaly on Steam you will see a very hard to miss yellow/orange bar on top-right corner with the text "You have an account alert".
I got mine yesterday and I could not miss it even if I wanted to.
So how did you miss it?
Unless you were under a rock with absolute no service for those 3 days.
Personally, I received my email when I was playing, so I didn't got a pop-up for the it, my Steam app notifications never work and the client version of Steam didn't show the alert until I eventually restarted it much later. I was lucky and only noticed because a friend who reserved at the same time as me got his email and told me, so I checked.
I got my mail while playing games too and my mailing program notified me right away on PC and my phone.
After about 60min while watching YouTube, my Steam pop-up showed automatically.
Also, some time before shipping date changed from July to September so I expected confirmation to also be in September.
"No no this is just a friendly reminder that you need to act within 72 hours or lose your place in line. Just log into steam and complete your purchase at your earliest convenience"
So how do people miss the window?
Once I saw that I got moved up from After Q3 to Q3, I just checked my email every day to make sure I didn't miss it. I guess some people just have their priorities mixed up. They're thinking about silly things like work and family, and all I've had on my mind for the past few weeks is my Steam Deck.
She arrived yesterday, and now she's here in the bed next to me. Totally worth forgetting my kids.
