UK Delivery issues? (with Evri/Hermes)
I bought my Steam Deck, 27/08, shipped 29/08, Evri expecting the parcel on 30/08, Evri gets the parcel on 1/09, and no update since.

Have been talking to others in UK that are also stuck on this, the delivery with Evri says "Next day delivery" but of course that was 4 days ago now.

There is no way to contact Evri. Has anyone gotten their steam deck from ordering last week in the UK?

EDIT:
We have managed to find a way to contact Evri (an actual person), to do so please follow the instructions on this comment:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/x61llg/shipping_fedexgls_megathread_september_05_2022/infrkp8/

Also recommend sending an email to the Evri CEO, email can be found here: https://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-9539

In the email, be polite, explain your issue with as much detail as possible, including references like your tracking number, address, etc. Try to be concise, someone from the executive team or support should email you back or call you on a private number to investigate.

Once you've waited a while, and have messages from Evri, forward onto Steam via a support ticket and if it's lost or stolen, they'll send you a replacement.

My Dock just arrived with parcelforce,no issues even with strike action.

Hmm mine was shipped on Tueaday and has been in the Netherlands since. The tracking just says "The parcel is on its way to the final parcel center. For more information, please see the detailed shipment tracking below.".

Anyone else with this issue? Haven't contacted Valve yet, but something seems off.
That's normal. There isn't a whole lot of detail during the shipping process. It'll suddenly show up and be handed off for delivery.
Parcel force

Well that's good to hear. Waiting for Steam Support team to come back to me on the replacement as Evri stole the 1st one.

Fingers crossed Parcelforce handles the parcels from now on and Evri just burst into pieces as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company in existence ever.

I cannot foresee them going any further than the end of this year.....they should go into administration straight away.

That's a small relief, thank you!

I'd still much prefer to be able to track, especially as it looks from many comments here, that they're redirecting with the hideous Evri, but I guess there's not much I can do but wait and hope they don't run off with it / hand it to a random person in the street / wrap it up for Christmas!

Well after 2 decks being stolen and having been told that a replacement would be sent. Then been asked to provide a ‘more secure delivery address’!! I received an unwanted full refund from valve with the following support message.

“Thanks for getting back to us.

We understand how frustration you may be.

Since we're unable to deliver the package to you, we've initiated a refund to you in this case.”

Can anyone explain what is going on?

I have responded and told them that I didn’t ask for a refund.

Now I seem to need to wait for the funds to return to my account so I can repurchase.

Annoyed may well be the understatement of the year for me.

Exactly the same happened to me. I got a refund and I ordered a 3rd, which also got stolen by the slime at Evri, and at that point Steam Support took pity on me and FedExed one from the US. It must have cost Valve as much as the Deck itself to send it priority international via FedEx, but probably cheaper than continuing to send them via GLS/Evri and getting them pinched.

It is a bit of a shambles that so many are going missing, especially when it's all down to Evri. You would think that someone senior in GLS or Valve would be on the phone to someone senior in Evri to ask them what the hell is going on. I presume those conversations have been had and Evri have shrugged their shoulders and carried on.

I don't normally wish ill on anyone, but I really hope that Evri goes spectacularly bust at some point.

This one gives more info than the global GLS tracking does.

They should've long ago, but given the manpower shortage we're facing and the cost keep raising, a lot of business will keep using them as their price on local delivery is really something unbeatable (as long as the other logistic companies aren't going to complete at a loss). eBay sellers love using EVRI. So that's unfortunate that I don't think we'll see it goes away anytime soon.

Well, the thing is, before the stole my Steam Deck I never had issues with Evri.

I don't surely wish all the honest people who work for them they lose their job, but they need to:
1) Have some real customer service
2) Get rid of all the scum. If a delivery person steals, he/she needs to get arrested like it would happen for all of us "normal" people.
All this talk of Evri stealing decks may not be the case as I received a second one a few days after the one I ordered. I'm not saying there not a terrible company, I'm well aware they are. They may just be getting miss labeled and delivered to someone who already had theirs delivered.

Yes, they've been mislabeling most Steam Decks and expensive items, whereas the cheap ones get to destination without issue.

Don't get me wrong, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happen. 3 in a row FOR THE SAME EXPENSIVE ITEM when everything else gets delivered? More than just a coincidence.
Based on what I can see... on the NL version of GLS, once the packaged reached the "registration Scan" in the UK, the updates stopped. Which i think means the second evri received it.
The english version of GLS stopped after reaching the UK as well.

Kinda sad how on Evri the "We're expecting it" and "We've got it" are ticked, then the bot claims GLS is the one who's delayed :) (GLS isn't stated until spoken to the annoying bot)
That's when I knew. Steam support confirmed they believe it to be stolen too, with very little evidence, so I'm pretty sure they know and are kinda sick of it... On this side anyway. I doubt anything's getting done about it though.

I'm getting a second attempt soon with hopefully a different shipping.

I decided to lie to the evri bot that there was property damage, so i had the option of sending images of "damage" but instead related shipment information, asking about the package and theft and whatnot. Though I wonder if these emails end up in the bin also. I didn't want to bother the CEO, but it's probably better to since he won't straighten his own thing.

That's lucky for you. I've had countless issues with EVRI in the past and I actually told Amazon at some point that if it's going to be sent by EVRI I'll just cancel the order and ask for refund, after that 99% of my parcels are either by DPD/RM.

You can get much detailed information if you track on parcelsapp.com. It shows you if it's waiting for relabel or not. That's why I knew the relabel process only took a day for my original shipment and EVRI was simply bullshitting when they blame the relabel for the delay.

But on this occasion, I don't think is one of those where we can leave Valve/Steam "out of the hook" that easily.

Context can certainly add to the understanding of a situation, but it's never going to be enough to justify this farce.

RTB1 původně napsal:
Well, after a few days short of 2 months I have received my Steam Deck (4th time's a charm). Steam Support have gone an extra mile to get me a Deck which I am really grateful for (48 hour shipping from Seattle to Northern England via FedEx). The Steam Support people I've dealt with have been professional, polite and sympathetic and they have been very supportive. I feel sorry for the guys answering tickets as they have very little control over the actual logistics.

Steam need to get their arms around this issue and they need to communicate how it is being addressed to their customers.

I'd had a couple of minor run-ins with Hermes/Evri in the past, but I've never had to sit for 2 months whilst Evri stole nearly £1100 worth of goods and then took no responsibility for it whatsoever. The whole delivery issue has at least highlighted that I will never buy from any supplier that uses Evri as their courier.

Excellent! I'm so happy for you (and other recent successful recipients).

I also happen to be back home from hospital, with severe restrictions on what I can do while I recuperate. I see a lot of Deck gaming in my future! :)
