UK Delivery issues? (with Evri/Hermes)
I bought my Steam Deck, 27/08, shipped 29/08, Evri expecting the parcel on 30/08, Evri gets the parcel on 1/09, and no update since.

Have been talking to others in UK that are also stuck on this, the delivery with Evri says "Next day delivery" but of course that was 4 days ago now.

There is no way to contact Evri. Has anyone gotten their steam deck from ordering last week in the UK?

Also recommend sending an email to the Evri CEO, email can be found here: https://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-9539

In the email, be polite, explain your issue with as much detail as possible, including references like your tracking number, address, etc. Try to be concise, someone from the executive team or support should email you back or call you on a private number to investigate.

Once you've waited a while, and have messages from Evri, forward onto Steam via a support ticket and if it's lost or stolen, they'll send you a replacement.

Nope, no number and no email contact, you can only raise a ticket and wait however long it takes for them to reply, one of the worst support systems I've used.

Makes me feel abit better most of them are being delivered there’s hope for me when they send my second one after investigation, still waiting for Evri to call me back. Mine was marked as delivered so I don’t now if that will make steam not believe me but steam have started looking into it or so they say.

It went from we’ve got your parcel to it’s been delivered in the same day

Let me know how you get on mate, Steam have just shipped my 2nd steam deck too, so hopefully we get them soon and can do some handheld gaming

I will post updates, at the moment I have to wait another 3 days or so for steam to finish/ get back to me

When I seen that Hermes was handling the UK deliveries I just shuddered. My order date isn't due until Q4 but I'm already starting to worry.

They tend to bring my parcels to the wrong adress or so I'm told. If Valve are using them I hope they require a signature because I really don't want the stress of proving I didn't receive a Hermes delivery.

It seems that it is only during the period of the royal mail strikes, so hopefully when yours is shipped, they revert back to using royal mail.

I'd rather Valve deliver it via carrier pigeon all the way from Netherlands during gale force winds and a storm, than have Hermes deliver it.

Still, if I had an nightmare experience like some of you lot have had, I'd be a bit fed up as well, so I get it.

I've been ordering things online since the time you could only buy books from Amazon and I don't recall ever having anything stolen by a courier. I've had loads of things from Hermes and they've often taken a long time to arrive but they've always arrived. Now I've had two Steam Decks go missing in the space of a couple of weeks.

Suppose it's all about value, whenever I or someone I know orders clothes on ASOS, Next or River Island, they are delivered via Evri/Hermes but not many are going to steal clothes so they arrive without issue, but a console or computer part, I'd imagine they just see pound signs ££££

Later that day it was update to show the following message “Update on your parcel. We’re sorry your parcel has been delayed. We’re working to get it on its way on the next working day” so far it’s Sunday 11th Sep and the Evri tracking has not updated since and my Steam deck is still undelivered. Can somebody advise on what steps to take next please. Is my parcel likely to get delivered or has it been stolen?. As you all say in the comments, it’s not possible to talk to Evri at all. I guess my next step is to reach out to Valve or have a chat with my credit card company. Any help will be much appreciated.

It might be delivered still, some people have had it delayed for a while and then delivered after x amount of days, best advise I'd give is raise it with Steam support asking them to investigate, and you can contact Evri by following the below steps in the below link and I'd advise also dropping an email to the CEO and cc'ing in Evri support asking for an update.
