UK Delivery issues? (with Evri/Hermes)
I bought my Steam Deck, 27/08, shipped 29/08, Evri expecting the parcel on 30/08, Evri gets the parcel on 1/09, and no update since.

Have been talking to others in UK that are also stuck on this, the delivery with Evri says "Next day delivery" but of course that was 4 days ago now.

There is no way to contact Evri. Has anyone gotten their steam deck from ordering last week in the UK?

Also recommend sending an email to the Evri CEO, email can be found here: https://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-9539

In the email, be polite, explain your issue with as much detail as possible, including references like your tracking number, address, etc. Try to be concise, someone from the executive team or support should email you back or call you on a private number to investigate.

Once you've waited a while, and have messages from Evri, forward onto Steam via a support ticket and if it's lost or stolen, they'll send you a replacement.

Yep mine was suspossed to be delivered saturday! they didnt and now all I get is we will deliver it the next working day. zero updates from evri and no way to find out whats going on.

My parcel has been on "Your parcel is on its way to you today" since Saturday, Steam refusing to do anything about it until the 9th.

They chose the absolute scummiest delivery company to work with, you just know they changed from royalmail (due to the strikes) to Evri because they were cheap. Really annoying :/

great, I am in Scotland for a week on holiday, if what is happening to you this bad news. Evri are literal cancer!
Given Evri (Hermes) reputation they could be at an auction house in Leeds. Maybe check there. Just kidding...kind of (they actually have done that many times).

In all honesty lots of people are having similar issues and I am dreading going through this experience.

Really wish Valve offered the option of premium shipping. Would gladly pay 20+ quid for such a service.

I would have paid premium for DPD to deliver it!

I did say to the support member who told me to wait, why on earth did they pick the absolute worst courier company in the UK and they ignored that bit, hell, even YODEl would have been better..

Ha. I forgot about YODEL. The first thing I ever had delivered to me after moving to UK was sent through them and it was a nightmare experience...and I thought FedEX in the US was bad...until I moved to England.

In fairness, I think almost all courier companies (including royal mail) are pretty shocking in the UK, but Hermes has always been at the bottom of the barrel...YODEL is kinda just above it...evvverrr so slightly!

I have currently sacrificed three other parcels to the courier gods to see if my Steam Deck will arrive today after being on its way to me since Saturday.

That's a good idea I have some deliveres that are unopened, maybe they need to be sent to the delivery gods... May help. My chances. I guess what's happend here a batch of decks have had the wrong label info on them and have been recalled back to the depot to be "lost" I mean sorted out for redelivery. That's the only logical solution as my local evri driver is a cool guy to be fair. He would nevor steal my delivery. Waiting to see him as my misses is always have things dropped off almost daily.

Thanks mate, that is exactly what mine had on it! I cannot divert it to a locker :( just had to change to deliver to neighbour and then put my address in. Thanks for the heads up!.

Great, I got all this to look forward to. I ordered mine on 1st Sept, its still on "Shipping Soon". I hate Hermes, they have already stolen packages from me in the past, if they steal this, I am gonna be so annoyed. Why on earth did they pick them, surely they could afford someone better!?

I doubt they've switched back, there are two more strikes planned on 8th and 9th of Sept. Theres not a lot we can do, but wait. Its been so annoying, been waiting since February 5th, when I reserved it. Was so happy once I got the email, I thought waiting is finally over, but nope! More to come!

First thing I would do is get the Evri app and make sure you set your alternate address to your own address, (choose neighbour but choose your address)! once you get the shipping email from (evri thing lost) change the delivery straight away to your alternative address.
