game freeze up when playing with external controller

when just connecting xbox elite 2 controller it will lost connection to the steam deck mid game

and when I paired 2nd controller to the st
eam deck , game started freezing. when even just 1 controller is on and enabled

tried to search everywhere about the game controller disconnecting while playing mid game issue

I am using Nintendo pro controller + elite 2 + SCUF controller All happened to be disconnected and lost response in the middle of the game for no reason or sometime freeze up the game

Jesus has no one using their device on the dock connecting with tv with external controllers ?? ?????


tried to look it up on reddit and that forum is such trash everyone are like brainwashed ♥♥♥♥♥♥ only talking ♥♥♥♥ about comparing with switch and stuff and shipping date and praising how great the steam deck is

Yeah I hate mine too. Installing windows helps but people here are toxic rabid fanboys. I'll be selling it or trading it for a PC or something. Worst purchase I've made in a long time.

Have you updated the Xbox Elite controller through the windows store app ~> Xbox Accessories? I had to do that to initially pair it correctly. I was using mine with no issues last night after updating the controller. You do need to plug it in a PC wired for it to update through the app.

Edit: Quick mention. I was running it wireless, connected to the steam deck Bluetooth along with a Jsaux dock on a 4K TV.

You were literally praising the deck and SteamOS as a "GOD SEND" but now it's suddenly trash because of this one issue you ran into?

Dude, you need to chill. Make sure your firmware for the controller and Deck are the latest and then start from there.

I was running macOS so constantly about opening up parallel 17 to run windows and download xbox accessory app and update the controller !

yes , and it works with razer wolverine wired controller as well , at first the freeze up stuff still happened but then its gone
i think the game freeze up 1 out of 15 times now so dont bother me much
