Where Is My In-Steam Email?

I can't seem to find my in-Steam email for messages. when I go into desktop mode they are right there in the top right, near my profile pic. When I am in console mode, nada. Am I missing it? If I am not, and it isn't accessable on the console side, that needs to be changed. Not being able to access your Smail in console mode doesn't make sense.

You seem to confuse email and notifications. Let's pretend you are talking about notifications.
In console mode, press the shortcut button. The notifications are there.
